Interim Building Inspector/ Zoning Enforcement Officer

The Town of Clarksburg seeks to hire an Interim Building Inspector/Local Building Inspector/Zoning Enforcement Officer.

This position inspects new and existing buildings and structures for compliance to the State and Local building codes, zoning bylaws and approved plans. Experience shall include a thorough knowledge of materials, building construction methods and related codes. Certification in accordance with MGL Chapter 143 Section 3 of the Massachusetts General Laws is required.

Must be able to work independently and cooperatively with Building Services staff and Assessors Office. Good written and oral sl<ills preferred. This position is for 5 hours weekly. Salary is $12,000 to $13,000 annually.
