School Committee Meeting - June 10th, 2026

1. Call to order the regular monthly meeting of the Clarksburg School Committee:
2. Open Meeting Rules/Public Comment: Clarification of the open meeting rules of participation
3. Announcements: During the Clarksburg Annual Town Meeting on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, the voters approved the FY27 school budget proposal, along with the article requesting funding from the stabilization account to help fund school building repair and renovation projects.  During the town election in May, Dan Haskins received the most write-in votes to become the new School Committee member for a three-year term starting in June.
4. Approval of Minutes: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the minutes from the Clarksburg School Committee Meeting dated April 30, 2026.
5. School Building Update: Review the updated plans and schedule for school building repair and renovation work during the next two summer breaks using ADA grant funding and the stabilization account funding, and focusing on the needed improvements to the bathrooms and entry to the school.
6. Financial Statement: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the current financial statement for FY26.

    1. Continuing Business:
       1. North Berkshire Regionalization Study: At the June 3, 2026 meeting of the North Berkshire Regionalization Steering Committee, BERK 12 received votes from the majority of the committee members approving their proposal to lead the first phase of the regionalization study for nine North Berkshire towns.  This work will begin immediately to study the educational opportunities for more collaboration and potential regionalization.
       2. End of the School Year Business: The committee will discuss any other school business brought before the committee before the end of the fiscal/school year.
